Q: What types of payment do you accept?

A: Money Order or Paypal.

Q: Do you share your customer list with outside companies?

A: No! Hostpix will never sell or share your information to other companies.

Q. Do I have to download anything to use your services?

A: No special software is required, you upload from your browser window.

Q: Do I have to use my images only on auction listings?

A: No, you can use them anyplace on the net that you would like!

Q: How do I put more than 1 image into my auction listing?

A: You can combine your images together in an editing program or you can use html in the description box on your listing to bring up both images. The html would look like this:

of course you need to change the date and the name of the picture to the actual date & names of the pictures.

Q: Why am I getting broken urls or broken image icons when I go to view my images?

A: Please closely check the spelling and remember that the urls are case sensitive as are your user ID and password. Remember: Barbiedoll.jpg is different than barbiedoll.jpg. Do not use special characters such as ~!@#$%^&*()_- in the name of your picture.

Q. Why when I log in does it say, invalid user name even though I had an active account?

A: Everyone has a unique user ID and password which are case sensitive. If you can't log into the system please verify that you are using the correct userid and/or password and the case. There also may be a server problem at the exact time you are attempting to sign in and will be corrected as soon as possible.

Q. I'm using WebTV, will your system work for me?

A: We've found that depending on the individual Webtv system you're using, there are different answers to this question. The best way to see if the system works for you is to try the demo accounts which are provided.

Common Mistakes

1. The picture or image file is too large or wrong type. Your images should have a file size of no larger than 125,000 bytes (125K). Any picture or image over this size will be rejected by the upload system.

2. You cannot upload a picture directly from a camera or scanner with a screen resolution of more than 800 x 600. These images must be compressed, cropped and/or resized prior to upload.

3. Typos or copy and paste errors are common. You must copy the link exactly as given on the Work with Active Picture section or from the email you are sent at the conclusion of an upload. If there is a mistake in any part of the url the image will not appear.
